Importing our clips is the first step of the “B” in my BFF editing process ( Basic, Fancy, and Fine-tune). What I like to do is find my video files that are on my computer or my external hard drive. First, we’re going to bring in one video clip, and there are a couple of different ways to do that. That makes it really complicated and it can be hard to know what to do when you just have this big black screen in front of you. Many people make the mistake of jumping off the deep end, going after all the bells and whistles. That is the newest version of iMovie as of the time of this blog post. Just hit the big “+” button to create a new project, then it’s going to give you the option to either choose “movie” or “trailer.” Today, we’re going to choose “movie.” That will give us a nice blank canvas to start with.
